If I have to describe Singapore in two words, I would say modern and clean. There are other adjectives which can be used to describe the city as safe, organized and expensive.
The city is famous to have the best schools in Asia. It is the way that the government finds to compete with China and India. Communication is not a problem since everybody speaks English.
Singapore airport is a hub for a lot of destinations in Asia. So we decided to spend a day to visit the main sightseeing in this city. In spite of the fact that the government is investing money to offer more options for the tourism, my personal opinion is one day is enough to know the city.
Our flight delayed and we arrived too late in the city. In this case, we visit all the attractions during the day. I wish I had visited the town during the night. I saw the view on a postcard and It was astonishing. My first recommendation is withdrawing money in ATM before arriving in the city. Some places don't accept credit card, and you must have cash.
We opt to take a taxi to the pier, and then we walked through the places. The flyer is the most famous one. It is a big wheel. Within walking distance, we found the fountain which is the symbol of Singapore.
The building of the marina bay sands is quite impressive regarding architecture. The view of last flour looks like a ship. Just a few steps after along the marine, we visited the art science museum. There were some expositions, but I didn't find anything interested. We went to splenade which is known as a theater center.
Just only 1km from the building area, we found a botanic garden. We spent some time seeing the flowers, and we ended up our day in a region with significant footsteps to walk like we are walking among trees.
Singapore it's such a great city. Indeed, it was worth spending one day there.
