Melbourne

Melbourne is a spectacular sight to behold. The twelve apostles on the renowned Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island abundance of flora and fauna were the remarkable moments of this trip.

Let's start at St Kilda Beach. No Melbourne trip is complete without a good walking at St Kilda Beach and taking a stroll along the pier. It is also home to the historic Luna Park featuring the oldest operational roller coaster in the world according to Australians Postcards. The culture and vibe of the whole St Kilda precinct are punctuated by the abundance of bars, restaurants, and cafes throughout this area.

We spent a day in cultural attraction on the iconic free city circle tram (Route 35) that operates making regular loops of the city. On this day the best spot was Queen Victoria Market. It's an open market shopping at the wholesale food markets. You can find almost everything like electronics, souvenirs, clothes, fruits, and so on. It's in on of few places in Australia that you can see some budget stuff to buy.

We also went to Albert Park. It's a massive park with a gorgeous lake. It's where many of Victoria public events are held due to its size. We had the luck to see a triathlon competition for kids. It was astonishing regarding the integration between children and parents.

Our next stop was an excellent two-day tour of Phillip Island and Great Ocean Road.  Firstly, we started with a drive to the Great Ocean Road. Our first stop was famous Twelve Apostles, and then we enjoyed several beaches walks. Every twist and turn will take you to a new spectacular site. We will remember this day for the rest of our life.

It's them off to Great Ocean Road where we dropped off at our overnight accommodation, and we had some time free to explore the city.

The next day we went to the "Penguin Parade." It is world famous and remarkable to spend an hour or watching these little guys return from sea and back to their sand dune burrows.  Watch in wonder as hundreds of small penguins waddle from the sea at dusk then clamber to their nests in the dunes.

We returned to Melbourne late evening thrilled and completely exhausted.
