Bangkok, which is the capital city of Thailand, is an amazing city with plenty of things to do. It is the most populous city in the country and consequently the chance of being stuck in traffic jam is quite high. In general, the Thai culture is very rich in terms of history and the people from that place are friendly. The food is totally different but they have a good variety of international restaurants.
The currency is THB (called Bah) and it’s relatively easy find an ATM in the city. You must have cash in your wallet due to the scarcity of places which accept credit card.
Another very famous temple is “Wat Pho” which is a reclining Buddha statue. This statue is giant and everybody wants to take picture in front of it. It costs THB 100 baths (AU$5.00 dollars) to get into and it wasn’t packed as the Grand Palace.

Things to do:
We rented a boat to see the “Wat Arun” (Temple of Dawn) through the canal. It is better to do this tour in the morning because it's unbearably hot in the afternoon. It usually costs THB 1.500 baths (about AU$ 49.00) dollars. In this tour, we saw the reality of people who survive along the river. Indeed, life has been getting better in last years but the level of poverty is still high.
After that, we got off the boat in a farmer market. The Royal Grand Palace, which is the most important sightseeing to visit in Bangkok, is at the front of the farmer market. There are some rules to get into in the Grand Palace. You can't show your shoulder and legs. My suggestion is wearing casual clothes like pants, t-shirt and comfortable shoes because this place is very big and hot. Additionally, you must bring your bottle of water and camera.
This place is incredible. It's the biggest temple in Bangkok and it stands to reason why it's very packed. The statue and castle are gold-made and in some areas taking picture is not permitted. The price of the ticket to visit the Grand Palace is THB 500 baths (about AU$22.00 Dollars).

Although visiting temple was a rich experience, walking though the Bangkok Shopping mall disappointed us. Siam Paragon, which is an immensely popular shopping mall housing a host of international high-end fashion brands, is considered by many to be the center of Bangkok. The mall contains a lot of stores and the layout is logical and fairly compact. However, Siam Paragon is not recommended for all budgets to the same extent of other malls in the area. This mall provides mainly luxury items for well-heeled visitors with money to burn. If you are looking for something expensive, Siam Paragon will be the perfect place.
The Floating Market is one of the most interesting places to visit in Bangkok. The place is far from the city and you have to book in advance. This tour starts visiting a local farmer market in which you can see a broad range of fruits, food and vegetables. So you visit a regional farm where they produce a lot of things such as deserts and cosmetics using coconut. Additionally a farmer shows you the process to produce candy. A small family lives in this farm. They have a big snake as a domestic pet. This snake is enormous and fat but you can touch because it is not dangerous.
The next stop is the Floating Market. You take a private boat. In this place they sell a lot of goods and souvenirs. They also sell original paintings that portrait the way of life in this region. This region is busy and the lake is packed with many boats.
The last stop is a tour with elephants. We really had fun in that moment. We rode the elephant and got into a river. This tour coasts THB 600 (about AU$ 20.00) dollars. You also have to pay THB 100 for one punch of banana for the elephant. Believe me, the elephant ate it in one second.
Suggestions:
Bangkok has many options to have good dinner. My friend had recommended to go to Soroco but unfortunately we couldn't go because it was busy. I wish I had booked a seat in this restaurant. Fruits are astonishing and delicious in Bangkok. You should taste all but in my opinion the best one is “Mangosteen
”.
Important! If you don't want to buy something, don't ask the price. They understand that, when asking the price you're open for a negotiation. They put the price up to bargain.
Just one more thing. If you want to take a tuk-tuk (traditional and small taxi), you must negotiate before you get into because they usually rip you off.
