Ho Chin Minh City formerly know as Saigon - Vietnam last stop

It is the capital and biggest city in Vietnam.

In general, this city is dustier than others and finding a good restaurant is quite hard. My suggestion is booking a hotel in district 1. It's the closest area to the main attractions, and there have same international restaurants.

We stayed at Sunflower Hotel. Despite the good localization, the breakfast and hotel service was horrible. The only exception was one of the receptionists who helped us a lot to find a medicine to cure a bacteria in Thuca's eyes. The rest of staff was useless. They won't be able to tell us even a great place to eat. We found everything by ourselves.

Our first trip was a city tour. It was interesting to know the history of Vietnam. The first stop was at the palace of reunification which symbolizes the beginning of communism. By the time of the revolution, the president was Ho Chin Minh. This palace includes 4 main floors, 2 mezzanines, ground floor and a basement. It also contains old furniture used by revolutionists. The most impressive part of this area was the radio station used to establish communication with other cities. It looked like the radio station of the movie "Lost." The narrowed corridor on basement reminded me the golden age of socialism. Despite the fact that this place is using for domestic and foreign visitors, it's also the venue for government meetings, special events, receptions and banquet for Head of state. I only know it because the guide repeated this thing at least 10 times.

After that, we went to State Post Office and the oldest church in Saigon.

Finally, we went to the war museum. It was fantastic. This area reminds us of war atrocities. It shows the crimes of war committed by US Army and the consequence of bombs like Orange Agent. It has a lot of pictures related to spots that were destroyed at that time of war. In the outside area, you can see airplane, tank, and helicopters from the USA used in the war.

On the second day, we went to Mekong Delta. It was utterly useless. We spent time and money on going there. Basically, we spent about 3 hours in a van and a small boat, then we ate a fish, and we came back to the city. Ridiculous !!! Everything was fast, we had no time to chill out. The boat ride was the worst because the only thing that woman knew how to say was "Hi" and "Tip." Everybody on our bus was unsatisfied. Moreover, The Mekong Delta is a typical river. It's not worth going there.

Our last day was better. I went to Cu Chan Chanel. It is a must-go place. It takes 1:30 from the city. First, we had a lecture to explain the fighting strategy of Vietcong. The Vietnam army caved a lot of tunnels to protect themselves against US army. So it was showing us the traps, and then we got into one a cave. It was small and hot, and if you are claustrophobic, you must avoid this place.

Furthermore, you can shoot using rifles which were used during the war. I shot using the weapons "B2" and "AK 52". It goes without saying that this trip was the best activity in Ho Chin Minh.
